Massage Hot Stone Therapist, Trained as and former Advanced Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy

Omega has been certified in Virginia since 1995. She is NC LMBT #6331 since 2006.

Omega Blackburn graduated from the Richmond Academy of Massage as a Certified Massage Therapist in 1995.

She is a Nationally Certified Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworker (NCTMB).

She was the second Registered Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy® residing in the Commonwealth of Virginia at the time of her confirmation.

Omega was a professional member of the Society of Ortho-Bionomy International ®, having completed SOBI's 1000+ hour Registered Advanced Practitioner program in 2005, and she was enrolled in their Associate Basic SOBI Instructor program and completed their BITS training classes

She has coordinated Ortho-bionomy classes in the Mid-Atlantic Area since 2001.

She is a professional member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP); is a Certified Massage Therapist by the nursing board of the Commonwealth of Virginia; she has a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and a former member of the American Massage Therapist Association (AMTA). She is NC LMBT #6331.

Omega has several years of experience in administering Hot Stone Therapy, Ortho-Bionomy®, Deep-Tissue Therapeutic massage, Swedish massage and energetic techniques on-site as well as in chiropractic, clinic and salon settings.

Omega volunteered with Hospice of Stokes County until its termination and now volunteers with Hospice and Pallative Care; Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital and Stokes County Arts Council/ Dan River Art Market.

Omega maintained a small 10 year+ private practice in Virgina Beach, VA until 2009

She has been working with vibrational healing techniques utilizing trance drumming as well as Crystal Singing Bowls and has had two Reiki Attunements

Terri Lee has been actively practicing and teaching Ortho-Bionomy since 1982. She is an artist of this extremely effective, gentle bodywork. Her nonjudgmental, affirming approach has helped thousands of students and clients facilitate their own self-healing and awareness of the integration of the body as a whole.

Terri trained with Arthur Lincoln Pauls DO, the founder of Ortho-Bionomy and is a past president of the Society of Ortho-Bionomy Intl, Inc., Terri has been instrumental in developing and refining the curriculum and methodology of the Ortho-Bionomy Practitioner and Instructor Training Programs. She teaches workshops throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Honed by years of study and practice, Terri embodies the principles and concepts of Ortho-Bionomy in her life and teaching, providing a living demonstration. Her personal integrity, honesty and commitment to living these principles have provided impetus for spiritual and personal growth for those she teaches.

For those seeking continuing education, a career change, or self-help, Terri facilitates this experiential learning with ease, offering each participant the opportunity to learn in their own way. Terri holds the space which invites each person to experience, develop and expand their own awareness of their learning process of learning to integrate body, mind and spirit. Darlene Smith is a Registered Advanced Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy, a Licensed Massage Therapist and is recognized by the NCBTMB as a continuing education Approved Provider. Darlene has studied and practiced Ortho-Bionomy for16 years. She has been teaching the work for 13 years, throughout the US and Canada. Darlene’s natural curiosity and her own life experiences have lead her in the ongoing pursuit of a clearer and deeper understanding of the dance that evolves within the physical and energetic body. Darlene’s teaching embodies the principles of Ortho-Bionomy. She shares with her students, a clear and gentle approach to body work, which allows her students to learn in a relaxed, safe and comfortable atmosphere

Ann Brooks Shinall, M.D., Our newest NCBTMB approved provider and Registered Instructor has been immersed in Ortho-Bionomy since 1989. She introduced the modality as a Mid-Atlantic class coordinator by bringing the first Instructors to VA. She was an instrumental cofounder of the Mid-Atlantic Friends of O-B. She is also a SOBI volunteer currently serving her first term on the SOBI Board of Directors. Her personal experiences both as a doctor and a patient bring profound insight into the wonders of Ortho-Bionomy. Her love of Ortho-Bionomy and her superb wit help to facilitate the learning process for participants, inviting playful exploration.

Personal Profile

When my “cheese” in Virginia was disappearing I moved to W-S to start anew. I have been with 6^th Sense since August of 2006 and am just starting at my Hanging Rock mountain home/spa location. My 27 yr daughter is a onw year survivor of stage 3 ovarian cancer while my VTmiracle son graduated from VCU’s mechanical engineering departmentin 2008.
