Sitting at the computer can wreak havoc on our bodies, and it does this routinely. We get sore shoulders, back and neck, and close off flow of energy, and then constantly rub these areas to help ease the pain.
Did you know that we were not meant to sit at the computer for long lengths of time? This type of posture is very foreign to our bodies, and when we experience physical symptoms, it's our body's message system shouting, "Hey, I don't like this. Get up and move!" Our bodies are great messengers when we actually take our fingers our of our ears and listen.
Okay, so how do we alleviate this problem? Get up on a regular basis and move. Set a timer or put a sticky note at your computer so that you remember to do something different to open up the flow.
I know in my own situation, I will get the message (physical symptoms) hours before I listen and respond accordingly. Now, I'm much more in tune, and get up and put on music and dance around my office. My body and cells love the to do the funky chicken, and when I do this, I feel inspired and energized rather than drained of energy.
