Medical Spas
Medical spas operate under the supervision and care of licensed doctors and complementary medicine specialists. Spa therapists work hand in hand with practitioners in an approach that integrates wellness, preventive care and, in many cases, clinical treatments.
Medical spas (sometimes called Medi-Spas) offer guests the results they are looking for in an environment that often includes the experience of a spa vacation and spa resort, though some medical spas are totally focused the clinical side and do not have overnight accommodations.
Like with Spa Resorts, medical spas offer various themes and locations around the world. You can choose your medical spa based on your condition and goal, coupled with your selected treatments and services, and desired location.
Medi-Spas provide wide-ranging wellness and preventive care that may follow traditional medical approaches, complementary medical philosophies, or a combination of the two – known as integrative medicine.
Spa treatments are also incorporated into wellness programs as an effective way to rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit and reduce the stress of daily life.
