Weight Loss Retreats
Weight loss retreats (sometimes referred to as fat farms) help guests achieve health and weight loss goals through proper nutrition and lifestyle guidance like exercise and self-image improvement.
Weight loss retreat programs are available for men, women and children, many with live-in accommodations.
Programs at weight loss retreats are focused on diet and fitness, about getting in shape and developing lifelong patterns to stay in shape and treat your body right.
Guests are provided with individualized nutrition and fitness program to help reach their health and weight loss goals. Most advertise you need to be ready to sweat, but exercise isn't all that is included in the daily schedule. Many programs provide massage and stress reduction sessions. Spa services can be delivered in the spa or directly to your room. Some even offer poolside and beach-side services.
Since most guests with weight reduction goals need to learn to eat differently and make healthier choices, many programs are staffed by nutritionists to guide the guest during their stay as well as after the vacation, so you stay connected and get coached so you don’t slip back into bad habits.
